Nameplate Simulator | Setting the Text Layout

Vertical or horizontal text? Where to place it, how much margin to leave? With the simulator, you can switch between text direction, position, and spacing right on screen to find the layout that feels right.

What you can adjust
You can choose either vertical or horizontal text — all models support both. Position, size, and letter spacing can all be fine-tuned. For the Rectangle and Trad models, you can also switch the board orientation between portrait and landscape.
In the finished piece, text is never placed right at the edge — we leave about 3 mm of clearance from the border. More margin lets the wood grain show through for an open feel; less margin makes the text appear larger. If you need a display size not shown on screen, we can accommodate custom sizing with a separate quote.
How to use
Open the "TEXT" row under "Text & Icon" to switch between vertical and horizontal text, and to adjust size, letter spacing, and position (left/right and top/bottom). Use the preview to fine-tune the balance and margins.

You can also tap directly on the text in the preview to select it. A bounding box and handles will appear — drag to reposition, or drag the corner handles to resize. Combined with the numeric controls in the panel, this lets you place the text exactly where you want it.

The simulator preview is a rendering of the finished piece. After you order, we email you the actual design data to review — production begins only once you approve it, so you can order with confidence even for the first time.
