Frequently Asked Questions

About Nameplates

What materials are your wooden nameplates made from?

You can choose from four types of natural hardwood: Keyaki (Zelkova), Walnut, Hard Maple, and Cherry. Each piece has a unique wood grain, ensuring no two custom nameplates are ever the same.

Can I customize my nameplate?

Yes, all our wooden nameplates are made to order. You can freely try different fonts, layouts, and engraving methods using our simulator before placing your order. We also accommodate custom sizes outside our standard range — please contact us for a quote.

How durable are the nameplates, and how should I care for them?

Our products are finished with glass coating, but as natural wood, mold or deterioration may occur depending on the installation environment.

We recommend installing in a location sheltered from direct rain and sunlight. Prolonged exposure to moisture can cause mold and deterioration.

If the nameplate gets wet, gently wipe it dry with a soft cloth as soon as possible. With simple regular care, your nameplate will maintain its beauty for years to come.

Are there any characteristics unique to natural wood?

As a natural material, each piece has unique grain patterns, knots, and coloring. Slight cracks or warping may occur — these are part of the natural charm of real wood.

Color varies by wood species and changes gradually over time, adding character to your nameplate.

As products are handcrafted one by one, minor dimensional variations may occur.

We hope you enjoy these natural characteristics as part of what makes your nameplate truly one of a kind.

Orders & Payment

Can I cancel or change my order?

Changes and cancellations are possible before production begins. Once production has started after design confirmation and payment, we are unable to accept changes as each piece is custom-made to your specifications. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes.

What is the price range?

Our "Simple" series is the most affordable option and requires no design check. Made-to-order nameplates that you can preview with our simulator vary in price by wood species and size.

Exact prices are shown on each product page and in our simulator in your local currency — please check there for current pricing.

Installation

How do I install the nameplate?

Standard types (approx. 25mm thick) have a "daruma hole" on the back — simply mount a screw or hook on the wall and hang the nameplate. Strong double-sided tape is also an option.

Thin types (11mm, such as Plate and Simple) can be mounted using strong double-sided tape.

The best installation method depends on your wall material and structure. For new builds, we recommend consulting your builder; for existing walls, a local contractor can advise on the best approach.

Shipping & Returns

How long does it take to receive my order?

Made-to-order nameplates are usually dispatched within 5–10 business days of your order (3–5 business days after your design is approved). Standard in-stock products ship within 3 business days after payment.

These times are until dispatch. International transit time varies by destination country — typically a further 7–14 business days. Delivery within Japan takes 1–3 days after dispatch.

Is there a shipping fee?

Shipping within Japan is free. International shipping fees apply and vary by region and size — please check "About Shipping & Fees" on each product page for details.

Will I be charged customs duties or import taxes?

International orders may be subject to import duties and taxes levied by the destination country. These charges are collected on delivery, are payable by the recipient, and are not included in our product prices or shipping fees. Duty and tax rates are set by the destination country and are outside our control.

Can I return or exchange a product?

As products are custom-made, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for personal reasons. If there is a defect, please contact us within 10 days of delivery for a replacement.
